Waterproof Ceiling in an Underground Garage – A Case Study!

Underground parking garages place special demands on building materials. Exhaust fumes, humidity, and temperature fluctuations take a much heavier toll on surfaces than in ordinary indoor spaces.
The following photo shows a ceiling cladding in an underground parking garage, installed using Microboards from Microshield AG. The result: a durable, aesthetically pleasing surface—even under these demanding conditions.
Reliable, Waterproof Substrate
The Microshield panels were used as full-surface wall cladding and provide a permanently waterproof substrate. This makes them ideal for wet areas such as showers, bathtub surrounds, or splash zones. In addition to moisture protection, the panels impress with their stability and ease of finishing with various surface materials.
