Textiles and Carpets

Carpets, fabrics and textiles then become a hurdle when glued to panels and fall under the rules of the FTP
Code 2010 Part 5 & 2.
With the impregnating agents and the impregnation process developed by Microshield® especially for fabrics, carpets and textiles, they receive the appropriate fire protection and meet the fire protection values required by the regulators.
Based on our experience, we are convinced that we can offer a solution in more than 90% of the applications, as long as the materials fulfill certain basic requirements in the material composition.
The fabrics, carpets and textiles are supplied to Microshield® for a fire protection treatment by means of a dipping system and subsequent drying and smoothing (in a continuous process).
After positive fire laboratory testing in accordance with FTP Code 2010 Part 5 (Surface Flammability) and Part 2 (Smoke & Toxicity) or according to international aviation law, the material equipped with fire protection will be returned to the customer for further processing.
Microshield®s fiber impregnation protects the material by incorporating an intumescent solution into the fibers. When exposed to fire this foams and forms an effective fire protection layer.
The two images illustrated on this page show the effect after 10 minutes of action of a 1100 ° C hot flame by welding torch at a 45 ° angle directly on the surface. The fiber structure is still completely intact, because the foam formed protects it optimally against fire.
Combined with our also FTP Code 2010 Part 2 & 5 certified Firequard® Epoxy Resins and Microboard®'s, you have all the options to enable your customers to build and decore walls, ceilings, furniture and floors with the textiles of their choice. Simple, uncomplicated and without any qualitative losses.
